The Way We Work
Communicating, collaborating, succeeding.

Communicating, collaborating, succeeding.
A practical team workshop that turns individual DiSC insight into better everyday collaboration. Participants explore their preferences, learn about colleagues and agree on a few changes to how they work together.
Who it is for: Intact and cross-functional teams.
Learning objectives
- Describe your own communication needs more clearly.
- Recognise how different priorities can create misunderstandings.
- Practise adapting a message or conversation.
- Agree on team habits that support shared work.
Before the session
Spectrum meets with the sponsor to clarify the intended outcomes and select suitable workplace examples. Where an assessment is included, participants complete it before the session. We agree on any preparation, accessibility needs and the appropriate format for the group.
Assessment option: Everything DiSC Workplace. The final proposal confirms what is included.

| Time | Focus | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| 00:00–00:20 | Set the context | Agree on the team’s goals and a useful way to discuss differences. |
| 00:20–01:05 | Discover your style | Interpret individual profiles and explore workplace priorities. |
| 01:05–01:50 | Understand differences | Apply the DiSC model to communication and collaboration. |
| 01:50–02:05 | Break | Time to reflect and reset. |
| 02:05–03:05 | Work through real situations | Use pairs and small groups to practise adapting your approach. |
| 03:05–03:40 | Team working agreements | Translate insights into meeting, handoff and communication habits. |
| 03:40–04:00 | Commit to action | Select one individual change and one team commitment. |
After the workshop
Participants identify one or two actions they can apply in their own work. The sponsor can reinforce those commitments through a manager conversation or team check-in. A follow-up session can review what participants tried, what they learned and what support they need next.
Shape the session around your team
Tell us about the participants, the challenge, your preferred date and whether delivery will be in person or virtual. We will recommend a scope and quote covering the agreed assessment, facilitation and support. A shorter session may need a narrower learning objective rather than a compressed version of every activity.
